Rondell White is rapidly retreating from the Mendoza line ( a line established by Minnie Mendoza, who appeared in 16 games in 1970 for the MN Twins at the age of 36, after spending his life in the minor leagues. Mendoza only put up a batting average of .188 in his 16 major league at bats. ) "The Mendoza Line" is generally referrs to a .200 batting average.
Rondell White retreated at full speed - he started the game tonight with an average of .100 and ended the evening at .077. Here's hoping he can get his average up Minnie's level.
